On a hot day in the Pacific Northwest at the Ridge Motorsports Park in Shelton, WA; MotoAmerica racers did what they could to manage the heat on the track. With temperatures hitting in the low 90’s on Sunday it posed a challenge for racers in race 2.

In the 16 lap Supersport Race Ducati Rider Josh Herrin #2 was able to streak away from the group after lap one. From there through the rest of the lap the Ducati rider was able to move unchallenged the rest of the way taking the checkered flag for win number two in round 6.

The battle during the race was playing out behind the leader as riders Tyler Scott #70 and Kevin Olmedo #16 fought for 2nd place. Both riders claimed their first podium of the weekend.

Local PNW rider Mallory Dobbs #36 rounded out her MotoAmerica debut in 13th place. She put out a solid performance in round 6 with a lot of things to take home as she ponders a run next year.

Next up riders head to the WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca in Monterey, CA for Round 7
