On the men’s side the team and individual competition kept things tight through the first 18 holes of play heading into Saturday’s final. The top three teams (Western Washington University (-2), Victoria (BC)(-2), and Simon Frasier (-1)) were all battling for the top stop. On the individual side Montana State – Billings player Dawson Strobel finished round 1 with a solid 66 putting him at the top at 6 under par.

Heading into round 2, and with a gorgeous day on the course, the teams battled across the board. One highlight of the tournament included Saint Martin’s University golfer, Kyle Erwin finished 24th for the Saints, notched his fist-ever hole-in-one on the 190-yard 12th hole. He becomes just the second person ever to hit a hole-in-one at the Bishop Invite at The Home Course. The Saints ended the tournament in 9th place overall.

Elsewhere on the course individual players were gritting it out. Round 1 leader Dawson Strobel (MSB) struggled a bit, but still put up a solid round ending the day with a 73 putting him at -5 for the tournament and tied for 2nd place with Western Washington University golfer Ryan Ho. The top spot went to Aidan Goodfellow who’s consistent play of 68 & 70 gave him the end and the overall win at -6 for the tournament.

On the team side, the tournament winner went to Simon Frasier (BC) with an overall -7 leading both #2 WWU and #3 Victoria (BC).
