In the world of Flat Track racing, particularly in the Pacific Northwest, your options are limited. Outdoor tracks have faced challenges in recent years due to noise and cost of operation. Insurance issues have also been a factor. Therefore, it’s exciting to see a track come back to life. Races were restarted on May 31st at the Rainier Sports Club in Rainier, WA by promoter Harrison Racing Company.

Flat Track Racing has a storied past in the town of Rainier, WA. Nestled in the foothills of Mount Rainier, this unique location highlights the speed and thrill of short track racing. In the late spring of 2025, promoters Harrison Racing Company reopened the track. They have brought a much-needed outdoor venue to the sport and region. For its reopening, the track saw a strong gathering of racers and fans. They came from throughout the region to celebrate the event.

HRC owner, Jim Harrison, has a deep history within the flat track community as a racer and promoter. He pays attention to detail. He emphasizes creating a top-notch event that enhances the safety and performance of the riders. This, in turn, provides exciting races for the fans.
There is a wide range of race classes available for riders of all ages and skills. From the youngest riders on Stryder and Stacyc bikes, ATVs, Pros, and everything in between. For the fans, there is the opportunity to get up close and personal with these races. The races run from 3pm to 10pm on race days. Summers in the PWN are for being outdoors.
