The PBR (Professional Bull Riders) Ariat Invitational, presented by Cooper Tires, Unleash the Beast event made it’s second stop in the Pacific Northwest. Stop one saw the riders compete in Everett, WA. Rounding out their tour of the region the PBR was back in the Tacoma Dome April 22 & 23. This marked the 14th time the world’s premier bull riding event was hosted at the Tacoma Dome.

Round 1, on Saturday night saw Dener Barbosa captured his another win in the 2023 season putting in a solid performance off a 86.5-piont ride. Putting himself in solid position heading into Sunday’s Championship day.

Barbosa’s Round 1 win moved into him into 9th place in the overall standings, and wasn’t the only one on the move throuhgout the night. Conner Halberson brought home a solid ride of 86-points after having to re-ride from earlier in the night, moving him from 59th to 55th in the standings.

Sunday’s Championship should bring out some drama in the event, but also continue to set the stage for the World Finals in Ft. Worth, TX.
