2024-25 Flat Track Racing Season Kicks Off

Race #1 of the Puyallup Flat Track season, Saturday October 19, was packed to the brim will riders and spectators eager to get racing. The 2024-25 season marks the 6th year the current promoters have operated indoor flat track racing at the Washington State Fairgrounds in Puyallup, WA. Racers and spectators are afforded the opportunity to watch riders from all ages loop around the track pushing their limits.

There is a wide range of racing classes offered each race day. One of the fun and growing classes is the Strider and Stacyc races, which offer kids free opportunities to experience race time as the older riders. The goal is to gain more interest in the sport, which then grows the pw50 class each year as riders grow out of the beginner bikes.

For Round 1, there were 73 heats for the first half of racing, and another 51 races for semi-final and final races. Group racing for the nigh night included 25 pw50s and 33 quad riders ranging from junior/youth quads to pro quads. All told over 300 riders competed in races, and approximately 50 riders between Stridre and Stacyc classes.
